AS THE LARGEST MOT ORGANISATION IN THE UK,
YOU'RE MOT TRAINING WITH THE BEST.
Now the largest specialist trade body in its field, the MoT Club has come a long way since its inception back in 1999. With our initial focus the support of independently owned garages, it became clear that testing problems were prevalent throughout the entire VTS network. As a direct consequence, the MoT Club now delivers DVSA approved MoT training, courses and garage management software across the board, to both independent Garages and the Franchise Dealer network.
Along with many independent garages throughout the British Isles, we are delighted to include seven of the top ten* franchised dealer groups within our burgeoning membership. We also provide support to Fast Fit chains on a regional and national level; and take further pride at our ‘Accredited Partner’ status to Group Auto by supporting their AutoCare network of garages with Club membership and training.
With the grading of testing stations being directly related to the risk of non-compliance, it’s a startling statistic that the majority of sites do not see a DVSA official for up to three years. Since the implementation of the new DVSA guidelines in 2016, our prime objective has been to advise members, ensuring they are compliant for all criteria.
With this fact in mind, it is of little surprise that many of the leading vehicle testing stations are often in direct conflict with the DVSA standards, as they make decisions based purely on the commercial aspects of their business.
The thoroughness of our MoT training has, on occasion, highlighted areas of concern that the DVSA themselves have not picked up on; which highlights just how seriously we take our commitment to you.
Concentrate on what is important within your business, become a member and allow us to provide DVSA approved support, training and advice to you and your staff.
WHY USE US FOR MOT TRAINING?
Two decades in the business, combined with the depth and breadth of our employees’ experience makes us ideally suited to manage your training requirements. Our team has experience across the board in the independent and franchise garage sector. What makes us one of the leading MoT Training organisations in the UK is our reputation for integrity, ex DVSA training staff and our strong relationship with the DVSA.
Our Director, John Ashton, advised and worked with the DVSA to design the new MoT training requirements back in 2016, granting us great insight into the new regulated MoT qualifications. We employed ex-DVSA trainer Peter Shortiss who has many years’ experience training MoT Testers with DVSA. He was also involved in the rollout of the new MTS system so has a deep understanding of key elements of the training.
ABC Awards MoT
Working closely with ABC Awards, who are the awarding body, we pay special attention to the rules and regulations required to meet the OFQUAL standards and we pride ourselves on our high level of integrity and attention to detail. As a company, we are not solely dependent on the income from our training and this places us in a strong position to invest in our facilities, equipment and people with less risk and pitfalls that can create.
Our IT based sister company and the Group Managing Director’s IT background has helped the MoT Club put together a very efficient and streamlined enrolment system, believed to be the best in the industry. This allows us to process applications very quickly, reduces errors and means we can feedback information to candidate in a timely fashion. If we’re running efficiently it means we can handle your requirements with minimal disruption to your business.
Our strong MoT Audit program uniquely allowed us to create a very efficient Annual MoT Training product. We’re one of the few companies that can deliver true Continuous Professional Development training. Our frequent visits to Vehicle Testing Stations over the year allows us to continuously drip feed training requirements to the network. The benefit to the testing station is the MoT Tester is not overwhelmed with information. This helps workshop efficiency with no costly travel to half day training courses.
