4 Days, with half a day for the observed test a few weeks later at your workplace.

2 Days.

£395 for MOT Club Members, £495 for non-members.
Once I’ve completed the Level 2 MOT Tester course can I start MOT Testing?
How long is the end of course exam?
What if I am unemployed, can I still enrol on the Level 2 MOT Tester course?
Yes, we can arrange for your demonstration test to be carried out at one of our centres.
How often are you running courses?
If I fail the exam can I resit?
If I fail the observed test with you can I retry?
Yes, but we limit the number of retries to three. Should you fail a third time you would be required to resit the entire course again. The observed test retries are charges at £150+vat.
Can I complete the level 2 MOT Tester course at my workplace?
Can I complete the Level 3 MOT Manager course at my workplace?
Yes, if you have a suitable training room and at least five eligible learners.
Do I need any pre-requisite qualifications for the Level 3 MOT Manager course?
No, but experience in the motor trade is recommended.
Do I need any pre-requisite qualifications for the Level 2 MOT Tester course?
Yes, you must possess the following to be eligible to be enrolled on the course :
• Have a Level 3 or equivalent Motor Vehicle qualification
• Have a current and full UK driving licence for the vehicle classes to be tested
• Have at least four years full-time employment in the service and repair of the vehicle types to be tested and be a skilled technician
• Have no unspent convictions for criminal offences connected with the MOT testing scheme or the motor trade, or involving acts of violence or intimidation
• Be of ‘good repute’
Can I complete the eLearning on my mobile device?
Yes, it has been designed to be mobile device compatible, you just need to be connected to the internet.
Will the MOT Tester Annual Training eLearning give me proof of training?
You will receive a certificate to show you completed the training and the topics covered, however you must note down the time spent on each topic and what you learn from it. The DVSA will ask to see this when inspected for each of the 5 years.
